We enjoy our decaf every day—whether pulled as an espresso or brewed as drip—so when we roast it, we do so with care, love, and close attention to detail. Decaffeination can be tough on coffee beans, often muting their natural character, which is why thoughtful roasting is essential to bring out the best in every batch.
Our decaf is processed by Swiss Water, a method that uses only pure water, temperature, and time to gently remove caffeine—without the use of chemical solvents. This process involves circulating a Green Coffee Extract (GCE), made from water and the soluble compounds found in coffee (minus the caffeine), around the green beans. Through a proprietary carbon filtration system, the caffeine is gradually removed, leaving the coffee 99.9% caffeine-free and full of flavor.
We roast this decaf to a medium-light profile, though the beans may appear darker due to the Swiss Water process. In the cup, expect smooth notes of caramel, milk chocolate, and a hint of subtle fruit—an inviting, flavorful decaf that doesn’t compromise.
